Recovery Supports
Street Outreach
Net of Compassion strives to help individuals struggling with substance use disorder and poverty in the Worcester, Massachusetts region. Our volunteers offer prayer, encouragement, relapse prevention counseling, and in some cases Narcan intervention. By developing strong, trusting relationships with people that are not currently accessing traditional services we can overcome the barriers and help connect them with long term recovery services. Peer Recovery Support Many Net of Compassion volunteers have personal experience with long term recovery. Peer volunteers that are sober connect with our clients through our food and clothing pantry as well as Saturday Lunches to Go. Peers may assist with support efforts such as transportation to recovery meetings, one-on-one counseling, faith-based counseling, and prayer. As a faith-based organization, we care about spiritual needs as well as physical and emotional needs. Detox and Shelter Bed Acquisition Net of Compassion helps people that are ready to get off the streets and into recovery programs and housing. Volunteers will work diligently to find an available bed in a detox facility, a half-way house, or independent living. During the months when Hotel Grace is in operation, anyone can call our main number (508-322-1363) and inquiry about bed availability at the shelter. |
Net of Compassion’s work is fueled by the generosity of donors. Contributions of all sizes make a difference. Please consider making a donation today. |
